Four Bayern Munich players were given the lowest possible score in the match ratings by German publication SportBILD after their 3-1 defeat to Liverpool .
The Reds comfortably progressed to the last-16 of the Champions League with a fine display at the Allianz Arena, where a brace from Sadio Mane and a header from Virgil van Dijk secured progression following a goalless draw at Anfield in the first leg.
The Bundesliga giants had come back into both the match and the tie when Joel Matip’s unfortunate own goal had levelled the scores at 1-1, but Liverpool’s win has heaped more pressure on Bayern boss Niko Kovac, whose tactics were criticised by forward Robert Lewandowski after the game .
And the Polish international was one of four Bayern players who were given the lowest possible mark of 5 by SportBILD.
Their ratings system operates from 1-5, with one being the best mark a player can get and five being the worst.
A image tweeted by Liverpool Echo journalist Ian Doyle shows Lewandowski, Manuel Neuer, James Rodriguez and Franck Ribery (as well as manager Niko Kovac) all on 5s, with the entire back four and Javi Martinez one better on 4s.
Only Thiago Alcantara and Serge Gnabry emerge with a little credit, with both on 3s.
As for Liverpool’s players, goal heroes Mane and Van Dijk get 1s, as does Jurgen Klopp.
Mohamed Salah and Trent Alexander-Arnold get 2s, with the rest of the side a mixture of 3s and 4s, including a harsh 4 for Matip, who did little wrong bar score that unfortunate own goal.
The Reds will find out who they’ll get in the quarter-finals on Friday.
